Charlotte, NC. Concert Review
June 18, 2009. We are in Charlotte, NC. for the last night of the Keith shows.Greenville was WOUNDERFUL. Charlotte will be WOUNDERFUL to i'm sure.
Ok Where do I start. Well I guess I should start by saying that Sugarland was Keith's opening act for this night. The arena was packed. It was packed more than I have ever seen it.There is a thin Black curtin over the stage. Keith came up from underneith the stage. The band started to play and the curtin was lifted, and Keith Began to stroll to the end of the catwalk where a mic was awiting him, and he begain to sing "Hit The Ground Running from his latest CD Defying Gravity.Keith had 5 huge HD screens plus 1 on each side of the stage where he could be seen threw out the arena. He strolled threw the audience where he involved people in the back into the show. Where there was a mini stage awaiting him.He than ended the evening with "Better Life" Where a gentelman jumped up onto the stage & started to dance with Keith. Later it was discovered that the gentelman was a DJ from WKKT, and it was a dare from Keith.2 girls jumped onto the stage also. Keith involved one to sing into his mic, and she did.Anotherone also jumped onto the stage. Keith the gentelman he is gave the 2nd girl a few minutes, than motioned for his Bodyguard Randy. Backstage Experience
June 18, 2009. It is about 6:00PM and I have just picked up my first ever Backstage pass to meet Keith.WOW I love those words.The rest of the people from the Fan Club gave the women gifts to give to Keith. One even gave him Chocolate candy.I met some of the people there that I had met in Greenville.Than we were taken downstairs to a room full of Barbeque,Drinks & more.But who could eat when you are about to Meet Keith. Me and Another Monkey (Deb) Sat there in the front row in front of the Mic where Keith would be performing a song.After everone ate it was time to get in line, and go into another part of the room to stand in line & wait for Keith to come in, and have a picture taken. Me & Deb were right in the middle. Than all of a sudden the Door opened & there he was. Keith came into the room. Everybody claped,but I screamed and jumped up & down.I thought I would just die. I was actually in the same room as Keith. He went down the line asked people there names, and gave them a Hug if they wanted one.When he got to me I thought I would die. He gave me a hug asked me my name, and as I was standing there talking to him he held my hands. Oh my God I am really holding hands with Keith Urban.And he said my name.I told him it was my first time at a BSE. He was happy to here that. I told him I really loved it when he played in front of me on his knees last night. He asked me if I enjoyed the show. I told him oh yeah I really did. it was so cool.He was happy to here that.And told me to enjoy the show tonight Baby.Than he went down the line to meet the rest of the people.Than all of a sudden he was back talking to me and asked me if he could squeze in between me. I couldn't believe it. What I have always wanted Keith Urban beside me for a picture. He put his one arm around me and the other around Deb. And I put my hands around him. I held onto his waste. Like the Gentelman Keith is he didn't mind.Than he was about to leave, and I asked him if I could have another Hug, and he gave it to me.Me & Deb went back to our seats while we waited for the other Monkey's,Verizion, & Radio winners to have there picture taken with KLeith. Than it was time to watch a short movie on how the Tour is put together. Talk about Funny. It was funnt to see how Keith & the band put the Tour together. Randy was even in it. Than Keith came into the room to perform 1 song. When he came into the room everybody stood up. He told us that was a first, and please remain standing.He asked us what he wanted to here. He played for the Grace of God.HE played and we sang along with him.Than it was Q&A time. I raised my hand to ask him a question. He took my question. I asked him if he ever lost his voice before a show. He answered it, and than I told him I have a request, and I asked him for his pick and he gave it to me. When he gave it to me I could feel his fingers touch my fingers. He told us to enjoy the show, and he was gone to get ready for the show.And we were escorted out, and given a gift.Oh my God I just have met Keith. I just couldn't believe it.His colone is still on my clothes. And he smelled so good to.
