Charlotte, NC. Concert Review

June 18, 2009. We are in Charlotte, NC. for the last night of the Keith shows.Greenville was WOUNDERFUL. Charlotte will be WOUNDERFUL to i'm sure.

Ok Where do I start. Well I guess I should start by saying that Sugarland was Keith's opening act for this night. The arena was packed. It was packed more than I have ever seen it.There is a thin Black curtin over the stage. Keith came up from underneith the stage. The band started to play and the curtin was lifted, and Keith Began to stroll to the end of the catwalk where a mic was awiting him, and he begain to sing "Hit The Ground Running from his latest CD Defying Gravity.Keith had 5 huge HD screens plus 1 on each side of the stage where he could be seen threw out the arena. He strolled threw the audience where he involved people in the back into the show. Where there was a mini stage awaiting him.He than ended the evening with "Better Life" Where a gentelman jumped up onto the stage & started to dance with Keith. Later it was discovered that the gentelman was a DJ from WKKT, and it was a dare from Keith.2 girls jumped onto the stage also. Keith involved one to sing into his mic, and she did.Anotherone also jumped onto the stage. Keith the gentelman he is gave the 2nd girl a few minutes, than motioned for his Bodyguard Randy. Backstage Experience

Me With My BSBE Pass

June 18, 2009. It is about 6:00PM and I have just picked up my first ever Backstage pass to meet Keith.WOW I love those words.The rest of the people from the Fan Club gave the women gifts to give to Keith. One even gave him Chocolate candy.I met some of the people there that I had met in Greenville.Than we were taken downstairs to a room full of Barbeque,Drinks & more.But who could eat when you are about to Meet Keith. Me and Another Monkey (Deb) Sat there in the front row in front of the Mic where Keith would be performing a song.After everone ate it was time to get in line, and go into another part of the room to stand in line & wait for Keith to come in, and have a picture taken. Me & Deb were right in the middle. Than all of a sudden the Door opened & there he was. Keith came into the room. Everybody claped,but I screamed and jumped up & down.I thought I would just die. I was actually in the same room as Keith. He went down the line asked people there names, and gave them a Hug if they wanted one.When he got to me I thought I would die. He gave me a hug asked me my name, and as I was standing there talking to him he held my hands. Oh my God I am really holding hands with Keith Urban.And he said my name.I told him it was my first time at a BSE. He was happy to here that. I told him I really loved it when he played in front of me on his knees last night. He asked me if I enjoyed the show. I told him oh yeah I really did. it was so cool.He was happy to here that.And told me to enjoy the show tonight Baby.Than he went down the line to meet the rest of the people.Than all of a sudden he was back talking to me and asked me if he could squeze in between me. I couldn't believe it. What I have always wanted Keith Urban beside me for a picture. He put his one arm around me and the other around Deb. And I put my hands around him. I held onto his waste. Like the Gentelman Keith is he didn't mind.Than he was about to leave, and I asked him if I could have another Hug, and he gave it to me.Me & Deb went back to our seats while we waited for the other Monkey's,Verizion, & Radio winners to have there picture taken with KLeith. Than it was time to watch a short movie on how the Tour is put together. Talk about Funny. It was funnt to see how Keith & the band put the Tour together. Randy was even in it. Than Keith came into the room to perform 1 song. When he came into the room everybody stood up. He told us that was a first, and please remain standing.He asked us what he wanted to here. He played for the Grace of God.HE played and we sang along with him.Than it was Q&A time. I raised my hand to ask him a question. He took my question. I asked him if he ever lost his voice before a show. He answered it, and than I told him I have a request, and I asked him for his pick and he gave it to me. When he gave it to me I could feel his fingers touch my fingers. He told us to enjoy the show, and he was gone to get ready for the show.And we were escorted out, and given a gift.Oh my God I just have met Keith. I just couldn't believe it.His colone is still on my clothes. And he smelled so good to.

Buses In Charlotte, NC.

It is June 18, 2009.We went to the Buses again to see if Keith or one of the Band members would come out from where the buses were. In Charlotte you can't get to the buses, cause they are underground,but you can stand out beside the side of the road.But nobody ever came out, and it was getting Hot so we went to the car to cool off, and wait for Jill. Jill arrived around 3:00PM. I said By to Jan, and me and Jill went walking and went in to have a cold drink.By that time it was 5:30, and I was getting mighty nervious. It was almost time to Meet Keith. so We walked back to the arena.

Leaving Greenville, SC.

It is June 18, 2009 and well it is the day after my first Keith concert this year. We decided to sleep in. So we did just that. CHecked out of the Hotel around 12:00PM, and headed home to Charlotte, NC. We stoped on the way to get something to eat. We arrived in Charlotte, NC. around 2:00PM.

Greenville, SC Concert Review

June 17,2009 Well This is it. My first Keith Urban Concert this year.It is 6:30PM, and we are on our way over to the Bi-lo Center.We got into our seats, and all I could say is WOW. We are on the Floor, and 7 rows away from the stage. Sugarland opened as Keith's opening act. I didn't think they were going to be as good as they were, but they were good. They got the croud ready for the one, and only Keith Urban, and Boy were we ever ready.

As beats ran through the arena, a large black curtain was drawn down as Keith was rising from underneath the stage.With his electric guitar in hand. He walked down to the end of the catwalk where a microphone was. As he began to sing "Hit the Ground Running. He was flashing smiles all night while he, and the band performed all our Favorite hits.He sand For the Grace of God as he strolled threw the Audience to get them involved in the show a bit.As girls touched, and felt of his hair he enjoyed every minute with smiles on his face. HE returned to the main stage where he performed.a giant background screen displayed a video collage of fans performing "You'll Think Of Me". Keith than went threw the audiance with "You Look Good In My Shirt"As fan's again Grabed, Touched him agaim with Randy his bodyguard right behind him. HE strolled to the back of the arena where a small stage was awiting him to finish"You Look Good In My Shirt".With no suprise Keith than returned to the main stage with roaring applause. Keith than did a encore of "Tonight I Wanna Cry". Before doing "Better Life" Keith thanked everybody that has traveled man y miles to come to the show, and said he loved each and everyone very much."Better Life" was performed, and confetti was droped.At the end Keith and the band threw pics out into the crowed, and took there bow. Chris R. gave me his pick, and also got Brian Nutters Pick.

Meeting Monkey's In Greenville, SC.

June 17, 2009 Well today is the day I have been waiting 6 months for. Today is the day I see Keith Urban in Concert in Greenville, SC. AT the Bi-lo Center.Jan came by to pick me up at 10:00AM, and than we were off to Greenville, SC.We arrived in Greenville, SC. around 12:00PM. We couldn't check into the Hyatt Hotel until 3:00PM, so we headed over to the Buses hoping to Meet Keith or one of the Band members or 2, and Meet up with some of the Monkeyville Monkey's. Keith did pass by in a van a few times & waved as he was going pass the gate.Keith never did come out, but Brian Nutter Did. I got his Autograph, and my picture taken with him.He is a really nice person, and will do anything for his Fans.I got a high five from Brad Rice as he was going by in a van as he was going into the gate. Saw Jerry Flowers,but he said he had to go practice.Met alot of nice Monkey's there at the Gate waiting to get a glimpse of Keith.Won't name any names, cause I don't want to leave anybody out.Than it was almost time to go to the Bi-lo Center for the show. We headed over to the Hyatt Hotel around the corner to check in.Than it was back to the Bi-lo Center to go to the show. YeeeePeeeee.Look out Keith your Monkey's are on there way. Me & Brian Nutter

BSBE Notification

On June 16, 2009 I got a E-Mail From Luke Notifing me that I have been selected to attened the Keith Urban Backstage Experience.On June 18, 2009 Hi Mary Jo! You have been selected to attend Keith's Backstage Experience in Charlotte, NC.Thanks for your work in promoting the show. Be sure to pick up your pass at the will call window before the doors open at 6:30. The BSE starts at 6:45. Have Fun, Luke I never heard anything so wounderful than. Mary Jo you have been selected to attend Keith's Backstage Experience. When I read that E-Mail I screamed so lound the roof almost caved in. HEHEHE no not really, but I just couldn't believe I really one a BSBE.I had to print the E-Mail, and keep reading it to really believe it.

Street Team Mission

It is May 27, 2009.I called Many Radio Stations to see if they would put me on the Air. I told them I was with Keith Urban's Fan Club Monkeyville, and The Street Team, and I was trying to Win a Backstage pass. They all shot me down right away, and said NO. So I waited till the Next DJ came on. He didn't have any proublem with me going on the Air, so I called 2 others. Same thing no proublem. So I was on the Air for promoting Keith 3 times. Thanks You WSOC & Wkkt.I sent my Mission in to the Street Team for Charlotte, and waited and waited, and waited to here if I won or not. It seemed like the longest wait I had ever experienced.
